One of the South of France’s leading wedding planners Claire Yossman responds to UK government’s quarantine measures
Leading South of France wedding planner and owner of myweddinginprovence.com Claire Yossman believes that the latest government advice regarding travel between the UK and France will have a dramatic effect on the demand for weddings in France next summer.
The highly rated wedding planner according to the official Zankyou rankings discusses how the impact felt by the wedding industry following the introduction of Coronavirus-related social restrictions has been significant, with many couples forced to rearrange plans or cancel their big day altogether.
And the disruption could be further compounded with the change of UK government advice with regards to travelling to France, creating an added roadblock for those booking weddings in the country.
In response, Yossman explained that this would have a big knock-on effect on couples booking for next year, with reservations for the 2021 summer season seeing an early boost.
“The Coronavirus pandemic has seen a significant disruption to the international wedding industry,” she said.
“It has lead to a surge of bookings for the 2021 season, with venues unable to cater to demand. Fortunately, our unique relationship with Provence’s leading venues has meant our clients have been able to find their perfect châteaux or Mas.”
