European Elections: Main parties suffer as Lib Dems and Brexit Party excel

The Brexit Party dominated the European Elections in the UK, winning nine out of 12 regions and claiming 29 of 72 seats in the European Parliament. The Liberal Democrats also performed strongly, finishing second and topping the vote in London. They won 19.6 per cent of the total vote and claimed 16 seats.
