Hundreds of thousands have marched through central London today, calling for a second vote on Britain’s exit from the EU. According to the organisers of the march, the Put It To The People campaign, “over a million people” have marched from Hyde Park Corner to a rally in Parliament Square.
Last night, MPs voted to reject a no-deal scenario in any circumstances by a margin of four votes: 312 against and 308 for. This vote was based on an amendment first tabled by Caroline Spelman and was supported by senior figures from across the House and all 11 members of the Independent Group.
