UK wage growth up to 3.6 per cent in "tight" labour market

The Office for National Statistics has revealed the highest rate of wage growth in the UK for 11 years, with a 3.6 per cent rise in the year up to May 2019.

Employment at highest level since records began

Britain’s employment rate has reached its highest level since records began, according to new figures published today. The number of people in work rose by 473,000 in the last year, while the unemployment rate fell to 3.9 per cent in November-January, the lowest rate since 1975.
