Infigo Software

A Message from Lord Pickles and Lord Blunkett, followed by Infigo Software's best practice article

The ability to listen and learn from one another has always been vital in parliament, in business and in most aspects of daily life. But at this particular moment in time, as national and global events continue to reiterate, it is uncommonly crucial that we forge new channels of communication and reinforce existing ones. The following article from Infigo Software is an attempt to do just that. We would welcome your thoughts on this or any other Parliamentary Review article.

Easy-to-use, mobile
optimised websites
Infigo Software provides innovative, martech solutions that
allow businesses to offer printed products and personalised
communications on-demand. It specialises in enabling clients
to customise content to their needs, 24/7/365, via beautiful,
tailored websites. Since its launch in 2010, Infigo Software has
seen an explosion in demand as businesses in almost every sector
recognise the need to develop an online strategy that meets the
needs of the “digital-first” generation. Infigo’s success is largely
down to the ability of managing director Douglas Gibson – a print
industry veteran – to spot emerging trends in creating content that
is relevant to the customer, and in forging relationships with other
best-of-breed businesses to drive efficiency in print production.
Evolving consumer behaviour that’s driving change
Consumer behaviour has evolved at a rate barely predicted a little more than
a decade ago. The adoption of the smartphone has created an “always-on”
society that expects access to products and services on their time and their
terms. The “digital first” generation want personalised experiences that are
tailored to their needs, and this is changing how brands and businesses interact
with theircustomers.
Our client base has evolved rapidly too: we now service over 1,500 diverse
businesses in a variety of sectors, from printers and packaging producers to
franchises, large corporates and consumer brands.

BEST PRACTICE REPRESENTATIVE 2018
Although the needs of each business
differ, the overarching objective is
the same – to deliver customer-driven
content cost-effectively. Our cloud-
based platform enables businesses to
work smarter and deliver the on-
demand services customers want.
Efficiency and a tailored
approach
Streamlining design, proofing, approval,
print and delivery processes reduces
manual tasks and allows budgets to
work harder, which is key to businesses
remaining profitable. However, at Infigo
we are equally focused on how our
software enables consumer engagement
that helps companies increase revenue
and generate customer loyalty.
Our customer-centric approach tailors
our solutions to individual clients’ needs.
We supply software that quickly allows
the user to make it all about them, and
we believe that working in partnership
with our clients is key to success too!
To meet high consumer expectations,
user experience is key at every interaction
with the customer. At Infigo Software,
we’re at the forefront of developing
user experiences that revolutionise
how businesses service their customers.
We also support our clients in how
to sell the benefits of the software to
their customers. Brands and marketing
agencies looking for innovative ways
to engage customers don’t want to
hear about the latest technical spec –
they want to be inspired by tangible
opportunities that demonstrate how
they can engage their customers, build
loyalty and drive sales. Our solution
enables print and marketing service
providers to “productise” their services
– in other words, demonstrate what
products they can sell and how this
will appeal to their customers. This is a
revolution for printing industries.
Our MegaEdit design tool sets us apart
in this field. Developed as an easy-to-
use online photobook designer, it has
evolved to be a far more sophisticated
software package that quickly allows
users to generate content relevant
to them. It delivers an outstanding
user experience when creating
anything from simple business cards
or marketing materials to gifts or large
format print, such as corporate event
materials – and even wallpaper!
The latest innovations to MegaEdit
include an Adobe InDesign plug-in
which simplifies how clients can upload
artwork. Additionally, we have enhanced
the MegaEdit 3D preview tool to deliver
a true-to-life preview of the product.
This removes a barrier to purchase for
businesses selling online and allows
brands to get even more creative in the
quality of the personalised products they
can deliver on-demand. This is essential
for the thriving personalised gifting
market and premium brands.
Helping to make print greener
One of the other benefits of the software
is the opportunity to reduce waste. The
efficiency opportunities include:
1. Individuals around a business can
manage their own print orders from
branded templates, decentralising
print buying without compromising
brand identity, while also reducing
the amount of print inventory lying
idle around businesses;
Delivering engagement

2. Artwork can be proofed and
approved online reducing the need
for printed proofs and making the
artwork approval process faster;
3. Different offers, designs and
language variants can be produced
in one print run, enabling
cost-effective promotions and
audiencetesting;
4. Integrated marketing messages can
be delivered in a timely manner
across different media, from direct
mail to email to text messaging,
improving the effectiveness
ofcampaigns.
Using our software enables shorter
print runs, more cost-effective
campaigns and reduces print waste at
many levels.
Not a jack-of-all-trades
We have worked hard to develop our
brand to be the distinctive software
provider. A key focus has been to form
partnerships with other best-in-class
suppliers involved in every stage of the
process to increase efficiency.
One such partnership is with the
leading Management Information
System provider, Tharstern, with
whom we launched an industry-first
integration that allows real-time
quotations online. Customers are no
longer happy to wait until Monday
morning to speak to a print estimating
team, and so this delivers a new level
of self-service.
In 2016, Douglas Gibson purchased
Netkandi, a digital marketing agency,
recognising an opportunity to support
the success of clients’ businesses
further by offering digital marketing
services alongside the software.
Netkandi offers value-added services
that set the business apart and has
forged a partnership with the customer
review business, Trustpilot, to give
clients the benefits of its customer
review platform, which has a proven
track record of increasing sales for
businesses.
Gibson comments, “Our business
thrives on the success of our clients’
businesses, so we work hard to
develop our solutions to deliver
efficiencies and brand engagement
opportunities for them. We have
been recognised as a distinctive global
player because of this customer-centric
approach to business development.
We are quick to respond to trends
and invest in our software to ensure
it delivers accessible services for our
clients’ customers. We’re excited
for the future of print e-commerce
as businesses recognise the need to
evolve their offering to an always-on
digital platform.”
Infigo Software is helping to increase
the profitability of businesses and drive
adoption of digital technology in once
traditional business sectors. In addition,
it enables local businesses to offer their
services nationally and internationally,
helping to drive growth. The benefits
are huge.

Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng's Foreword For The Parliamentary Review

By Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng

This year’s Parliamentary Review reflects on a tumultuous and extraordinary year, globally and nationally. As well as being an MP, I am a keen student of history, and I am conscious that 2020 would mark the end of an era. It will be remembered as the year in which we concluded Brexit negotiations and finally left the European Union. Above all, it will be remembered as the year of Covid-19.

In our fight against the pandemic, I am delighted that our vaccination programme is beginning to turn the tide – and I pay tribute to the British businesses, scientists and all those who have helped us to achieve this. But the virus has dealt enormous damage, and we now have a duty to rebuild our economy.

We must ensure that businesses are protected. We have made more than £350 billion available to that end, with grants, business rates relief and our furlough scheme supporting more than 11 million people and jobs in every corner of the country, maintaining livelihoods while easing the pressure on employers. The next step is to work with business to build back better and greener, putting the net zero carbon challenge at the heart of our recovery. This is a complex undertaking, but one which I hope will be recognised as a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Through the prime minister’s ten point plan for a green industrial revolution, we can level up every region of the UK, supporting 250,000 green jobs while we accelerate our progress towards net zero carbon emissions.

With our commitment to raise R&D spending to 2.4% of GDP and the creation of the Advanced Research & Invention Agency, we are empowering our fantastic researchers to take on groundbreaking research, delivering funding with flexibility and speed. With this approach, innovators will be able to work with our traditional industrial heartlands to explore new technologies, and design and manufacture the products on which the future will be built – ready for export around the globe.

And I believe trade will flourish. We are a leading nation in the fight against climate change. As the host of COP26 this year, we have an incredible opportunity to market our low-carbon products and expertise. Our departure from the EU gives us the chance to be a champion of truly global free trade; we have already signed trade deals with more than 60 countries around the world.

As we turn the page and leave 2020 behind, I am excited about the new chapter which Britain is now writing for itself, and for the opportunities which lie ahead of us.
